London ~ North

April 20, 2015

I started my adventure on this day by taking the bus to Baker Street. From there I walked to Regent's Park. It was beautiful. I enjoyed a light snack and a pleasant stroll.

Next I took a train to North London in search of a yarn store called, LOOP. Alas, it is closed on Mondays. I boarded another bus and went to the British Museum.

A very good touring London day.

Living in London for 20 days

Let's take a break and show you where I've been living.

I stay in a sweet flat in the parish of Fulham with my very kind Airbnb hose, AH.

Two of the pix are the views from my two bedroom windows.

It's a great neighborhood, safe, peaceful, easy access to buses and tube stations. The people are eclectic, like all of London seems to be. I get stopped almost daily in the street by people asking me directions to this or that pub, or which way is this or that shop.

It's only a 10 minute walk to the Thames and some nice parks and walkways.

London can be hustle and bustle, busy, crowded and noisy. It can also be people just peacefully living their lives with families, recreation, exercise, picnics and neighborhood living.

London ~ Notting hill

Royal Albert Hall

First, a cappuccino while I wait for the tour to begin.

The tour guide was really enthusiastic about the Hall and that made the whole experience interesting and fun.

Next I wandered up to Notting hill and found Portobello Market.

I became quite smitten with these cute, little dresses.

London ~ Tower Bridge

April 11, 2015

I rode the tube, District Line, for so long I was the only one on it by the time I got to Tower Hill.

Tower of London

Next I walked across Tower Bridge and visited the Design Museum.

Then I rode Bus 15 to Trafalgar Square, walked over to Piccadilly Circus and heard this awesome guitar street musician, and then rode the Bus 14 home.
