London ~ Museums

April 25, 2015

Breakfast and then Trafalgar Square (where they were celebrating St. Georges' Day) and the National Gallery.

Next we went to the National Portrait Gallery but I didn't take any photos there.

Up the road and around the corner is the very old store called LIBERTY.

Obviously, AWESOME!!!

London ~ Hammersmith

April 22, 2015

I walked on High Street down to the Thames.

Later I saw Hammersmith Bridge.

It was an absolute beautiful day.

I crocheted on a bench with the view of the Thames and enjoyed the sunshine and locals.

London ~ Somerset

April 21, 2015

I had a mission to find a good yarn store, and in Wimbledon Park I found a gem. Stitch Up.  Check out this cute store.

Across the street was a cafe called, Saucers and Cups. I had a little bite to eat there. Fabulous!

Next I headed to The Courtauld Gallery and stumbled upon Somerset House! Who knew?  Not me. A huge art and culture center. Wow!

After a quick stroll through a park with a fox and past 10 Downing, I went to Tate Britain.

I ended my touring with a lovely lentil salad and some English Breakfast Tea.

Another great day in London.

London ~ North

April 20, 2015

I started my adventure on this day by taking the bus to Baker Street. From there I walked to Regent's Park. It was beautiful. I enjoyed a light snack and a pleasant stroll.

Next I took a train to North London in search of a yarn store called, LOOP. Alas, it is closed on Mondays. I boarded another bus and went to the British Museum.

A very good touring London day.

Living in London for 20 days

Let's take a break and show you where I've been living.

I stay in a sweet flat in the parish of Fulham with my very kind Airbnb hose, AH.

Two of the pix are the views from my two bedroom windows.

It's a great neighborhood, safe, peaceful, easy access to buses and tube stations. The people are eclectic, like all of London seems to be. I get stopped almost daily in the street by people asking me directions to this or that pub, or which way is this or that shop.

It's only a 10 minute walk to the Thames and some nice parks and walkways.

London can be hustle and bustle, busy, crowded and noisy. It can also be people just peacefully living their lives with families, recreation, exercise, picnics and neighborhood living.
